Below is a list of important dates chronologically listed as the events were unfolded leading to our annual Marian Days of Orange, at third year at this writing, where the project started with a concept, blessed by Bishop Kevin Vann on the Christ Cathedral campus as part of the Diocese of Orange in the city of Garden Grove, County of Orange, California where the second-lagest population of the Vietnamese residents, outside of Vietnam, is reported:
- December 7th, 2016:Announcement of the Our Lady of La Vang Project
- October 21st, 2017:Blessing of the Shrine’s site by Bishop Kevin Vann.
- October 27th, 2018:The Shrine’s Site Groundbreaking ceremony.
- January 28th, 2020:Our Lady of La Vang holding baby Jesus’ statue arrived at the site after months long of design, sculpture, carving by Sculptor Andrea Ceccarelli of Italian Marble Company.
- June 3rd, 2021:Our Lady of La Vang Statue is placed as the centerpiece of the Shrine with Bishop Kevin Vann, Bishop Thanh Thai Nguyen and Father Christopher Smith blessed over the work of the installation.
- June 3rd, 2021:The statue of Our Lady of La Vang was officially placed on the stands.
- July 17th, 2021:A full-day long of elaborated celebration at the dedication of Our Lady Of La Vang Shrine attended by reportedly over 8,000 of the faithfuls.
- The First Annual Inaugural Marian Days of Orangeheld at the Shrine of Our Lady on July 1st & 2nd 2022 With the theme: “With Mary, give thanks to God” under the leadership of Father Vincent Hung Pham, the presiding Director Of The Vietnamese Catholic Center, Santa Ana CA.
- The Second Annual Marian Days of Orange #2held at the Shrine of Our Lady on July 14th & 15th 2023 With the theme: “With Mary, we journey” under the leadership of Very Reverend Bao Thai, the presiding Rector of Christ Cathedral Parish.
- The Third Annual Marian Days of Orange #3held at the Shrine of Our Lady on July 12th & 13th, 2024 With the them: “Mary, Ark of the Covenant” under the leadership of Very Reverend Bao Thai, the presiding Rector of Christ Cathedral Parish.
